Once a farmer lived in a village. He had a strange hen. It laid a golden egg daily. He sold the golden egg in the bazaar and got a high price. Soon he became very rich. He was very greedy. He wanted to earn more and more money at once. He decided to kill the hen and get all the eggs at once. So he killed the hen but found nothing except one egg. He felt sorry but it was in vain.
Moral of the story :
1. It is no use to cry over spilt milk
2. Greed is a curse
Conclusion: The farmer's greed led him to kill the strange hen hoping to get all the golden eggs at once. But to his dismay, he found only one egg inside. The moral of the story teaches us that greed is a curse.
